ABOUT:
This illustrated text chronicles Woolwonga man, John Scrutton's family history and his own personal memories of life in Batchelor and Rum Jungle in the NT. Told as short vignettes, John's stories weave between tales of his grandmother, famous Territorian Nellie 'shot-gun' Flynn and her sidekick, '007' the dog and the social and political life of the Territory over multiple generations.
This unique collaborative project was catalysed, mentored and supported by Johanna Bell and Erica Wagner's Octopus Story Camp.
The project's contributors were:

John Scrutton (Writer)
Robyn Frances (Illustrator/Coordinator)
Jo Hunt (Designer)
Hilary Reynolds (Editor)
Sue Stanton (Critical Reader)
Penny Drysdale (Critical Reader)
Ruth Alexanders (Critical Reader)
Colemans, Darwin City (Printers)
