Robyn Frances - Contemporary Artist and Arts Worker

Born in 1982 on the Central Coast, NSW, Australia.

Lives and works in Darwin, NT, Australia.

 Robyn is a contemporary visual artist and cultural professional with over 19 years’ experience managing projects across the arts, social justice, health and university sectors.

 

Robyn's practice sits across across drawing, painting, installation, printmaking, and illustrated texts applying her skills in a broad range of cross-disciplinary contexts including: as an illustrator, muralist, community and cultural development worker, zine maker, curator, graphic designer and visual arts exhibitor.

Most recently in July 2020, Robyn has commenced working on The Connection Curve, a portraiture project exploring Northern Territorians experiences of COVID19 and its far reaching impacts. Robyn has also released The Real Map of Batchelor According to Me, with Woolwonga storyteller, John Scrutton. This illustrated map tells stories from John's family history and his life growing up in and around Batchelor in the NT.
